Pikes Peak Region - Weather

Do you enjoy four distinct and beautiful seasons? If so, Colorado Springs or Teller County real estate is ideal for you and your family.

Mistakenly, "snow" comes to mind when many people think of Colorado. Snow is critical for the ski industry and to provide the water for the quality of life Coloradans enjoy. However, extreme weather is rare with Colorado Springs and Woodland Park with both averaging 300 days of sunshine per year. When it does snow, the accumulation is usually gone within a couple of days. Colorado Springs is protected from most storms by the natural weather barriers of the Rocky Mountains and the Monument Divide.

Because of the elevation, both Colorado Springs and Woodland Park have cool, dry summers. Humidity is low throughout the Pikes Peak Region.

The abundance of aspen trees provide for a breathtaking fall in the Pikes Peak Region. The turning aspen pictured before the beautiful backdrop of spruce and pine trees makes all mountain properties a showcase.
